Merrell Encore Apex winter boots might be built for winter function, but all you'll see is winter fashion. A waterproof membrane locks moisture out of the suede, nubuck leather, and softshell upper, and lightweight insulation locks warmth in. The Encore 2 sole with sticky rubber will keep you on your feet no matter how slippery or icy the streets get. But the real fun in the Encore Apex boots is in their pretty features, like the lacing and stitching up the front of the boot, and the faux fur trim at the top. Enjoy!

"For the suede part, I recommend getting a suede cleaning kit. It is available at a shoe stores or shoe repair stores. It should have a brush to clean the suede and another brush to condition it, after cleaning it. The fabric can be cleaned with a mild detergent mixed with warm water. You can use a toothbrush to work the solution in and clean it. The same with the faux fur trim. You do not want to get the suede soaking wet. The same place you got the suede cleaning kit should have a "scotch guard" type of spray to put on, to keep the boot from getting dirty again and will provide more protection from dirt and water. You want to let the boots air dry naturally. "
