There's plenty of backcountry rides that give you float, but the Elan Ripstick 86 Ski might be the only one that gives you performance you can use on groomed snow too. The Mountain Rocker profile lifts large sections of the nose and tail to keep you riding on top of soft snow, but there's still enough camber underfoot to keep you under control on hardpack. In fact, thanks to TNT Technology built in there is a mild Amphibio contour built in, which increases the camber on your inside edges, improving edge hold and energy return, and decreasing it on the outside edges for enhanced maneuverability.
