When you sit on the lift, the gills on the side are closed to maintain warmth. When youre actively skiing, the gills expand to vent excess heat and moisture. X-Static insulation is anti-odor, anti-bacterial, and anti-static. This material retains or reflects heat to keep your core temperature constant.
