The Nordica Transfire 75 Ski System gives progressing skiers an easy-to-turn ski that isn't a wet noodle at speed. Instead of making the ski super soft, Nordica used a smarter sidecut to make turning easy. This means that as you improve your turns and start to ride faster, the ski won't immediately wash out on you. Rocker in the tip and tail makes entry and exit from turns easy, and helps to provide a little float when there's a few inches of fresh on top of the trail.

"I am 65 years and 240# at 6'3" I usually ski blues or groomed blacks these days. My skis are old and 190 cm. Is 176cm really ok for my weight and ability?"

"How does this Transfire 75 compare to the K2 Photon? Which do you generally recommend? I am in my mid 40's, advanced intermediate, and I ski mostly groomers but I do occasionally go off piste. Could you also compare to the Fischer Motive 74. I am considering all three skis."

"I would say that this ski is going to limit you more than the other two would. This would be mostly for groomers so going into powder won't be as much fun as it would be on the Fischer Motive 80 Ski System. That ski can really do it all. If I were deciding between the 3 of them for you I would recommend that one. It is up to your level and it would give you the most out of your day. The K2 Amp Photon Ski System wouldn't be a bad choice, however, if you are more advanced intermediate then it wouldn't be as responsive which would limit you. "
