Q:
"Is the hood real fur? I know CG coats usually are.. but wondered if this was "
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Cameronnnn on 2/14/2013 - 3:19 pm
A:
"It most definitely is. They use coyote fur around the hoods of their jackets because it never freezes, doesn't hold water, and the uneven hair lengths create a windbreak that protects exposed skin, helping to reduce heat loss from the face. Faux-fur does not have the same protection."
Answer by Sarah (Peter Glenn Staff) on 2/14/2013 - 3:29 pm
Q:
"My question is regarding sizing of the Canada Goose Expedition Parka. If usually wear size 8 or 10 womens clothing. I heard the parkas run big, but I will want to wear layers. Should I get a Medium or Large. I am also 5' 10". The next question is what size would I get if I were to order a mens parka. I like the forest green in the mens size."

Question by Raymond Li on 12/15/2013 - 5:20 am
A:
"We have provided a size chart that you can check out to see the measurements for each size. For a size small, it says that that is the best size for someone with a chest size of 36-37" so it sounds like a size small would be best for you."

Question by CooL Bee on 3/15/2014 - 12:10 am
A:
"Canada Goose jackets can run a bit large. It's best if you check your measurements against the size chart to see what size is suggested for you based off of your measurements. If you are in doubt, feel free to try one size down as these jackets can run large and some people do find that they need to size down."

Q:
"Hello. Isn't this jacket too warm if an average winter temperature in my region is from -15 to -20 Celsius? How is it comparing to Citadel Parka? And do you ever offer Expedition Parka in white?"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by igor.bearry on 8/14/2014 - 10:00 am
A:
"This jacket would be perfect for that temperature! We do not have it on order in white. We only have the black color on order as of right now. The Canada Goose Citadel Parka is actually going to protect you against water a bit better than this jacket, it is also a bit longer and offers a removable fur trim on the hood. The fur on the hood of this jacket is attached and cannot be removed. "

Question by Richard on 10/17/2014 - 1:51 am
A:
"Based on the measurements you have given us we would recommend going with a size Medium. You can view the size chart here and look at the waist and hip measurements to give you a more proper guide to the size you will need. "
Answer by Kacy (Peter Glenn Staff) on 10/17/2014 - 8:39 am
A:
"I'm 6'2, 255 with a large chest, 44in, small gut and 32" thighs. XL works great. It bulkey as expected, but not restrictive. Top sub freezing weather jacket. Lacks the flair of a Moncler or Mackage, but makes up for it in performance. Very warm, maybe too warm for extended hikes and physical exertion in say 0°C. If it -50°C then you're set with one of the best on the market."

Q:
"Hi just wondering if you could tell me the difference between the expedition parka and the Citadel one? Thank you"
1 Answers | Answer Question
Question by Max on 4/19/2016 - 3:00 am
A:
"The Expedition is going to be shorter than the Citadel by about 1.75 inches. The Expedition also has a slightly higher fill power for the insulation than the Citadel. Those will be the main differences between the two parkas. The warmth, fit, and water resistance will be highly similar for the Citadel and the Expedition! "
