Pick up the Burton Clash Snowboard, because when you're learning to ride the last thing you need is to fight with your gear. Thanks to a directional shape (three to six millimeters of taper depending on size) you get a slightly larger nose to make turn initiation easier. That additional size is offset by the convex nose of the Cruise Control Edge Tune, which lifts the contact points off the snow when you're flat footed, reducing the chance of catching an edge and encouraging you to steer with your feet. The Flat Top™ profile is a zero-camber design so it rides very predictably with grip when you need it and mobility in all conditions.
